Vodafone Idea Limited reported a revenue of ₹109.3 billion for the quarter, reflecting a 4% quarter-over-quarter improvement, with customer revenue increasing by 5.6% due to recent tariff hikes from private operators. EBITDA reached ₹45.5 billion, with cash EBITDA (excluding Ind AS 116 impact) rising to ₹23.2 billion, the highest since the merger.

The company enhanced its network significantly, adding approximately 42,000 4G sites in the quarter, marking the largest addition of 4G sites in a single quarter. Consequently, 4G population coverage has reached around 1.05 billion. While the overall subscriber base saw a decrease, the postpaid segment grew, particularly within the M2M category.

The capital expenditure for Q2FY25 was ₹13.6 billion, with expectations of ₹80 billion for H2FY25. Cash reserves were reported at ₹136.2 billion, while total payment obligations to the government stood at ₹2,122.6 billion. Overall, the company's strategic infrastructure improvements indicate a positive trajectory as it moves toward future expansion, including the rollout of 5G services.
