Transworld Shipping Lines Limited reported a strong financial performance for the second quarter and half-year ending September 30, 2024. Quarterly revenue surged to ₹125 crore, up from ₹94 crore in the previous quarter. EBITDA improved significantly to ₹50 crore, representing an EBITDA margin of 40%, compared to 33% previously. Profit Before Tax jumped to ₹22 crore from just ₹3 crore, while Profit After Tax rose to ₹21 crore, up from ₹3 crore. Basic and diluted earnings per share shot up to ₹9.69, indicating robust profit growth.

The company’s fleet comprises 12 vessels, with all container vessels chartered to Avana Logistek Limited. Charter hire income emerges as the primary revenue source, buoyed by the ongoing uptick in global shipping markets, particularly influenced by geopolitical factors affecting traditional routes. Given the positive trends in freight rates, investors should watch closely for sustained growth and potential expansions in service offerings as the market stabilizes.
