UPL Corporation Ltd. and CAC Nantong Chemical Co. have entered a strategic agreement focused on the global commercialization of cyproflanilide, a novel insecticide designed to tackle pest resistance across a range of crops such as rice, corn, cotton, soybeans, and various fruits and vegetables. This insecticide allows for effective pest management at low usage rates, particularly against resistant lepidoptera pests.

The collaboration involves joint development, registration, and marketing of cyproflanilide in their respective markets, with registration expected to begin in China soon, followed by applications in other countries over the next three years. This partnership enhances UPL's portfolio and aligns with its strategy of introducing innovative agricultural solutions to improve crop yields and food security globally.
