Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited — Important, 12-11-2024: Updates
BHEL has emerged as the successful bidder for the Main plant package of the 3x800 MW Telangana Stage-II Supercritical Thermal Power Plant from NTPC Ltd. This significant contract involves design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, commissioning, and civil construction. BHEL has received a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from NTPC, allowing them to commence basic engineering work for the plant.
This project further solidifies BHEL's relationship with NTPC, as the company has played a crucial role in over 57% of NTPC’s thermal power installations across India. With more than 1,68,000 MW of utility power capacity already installed, BHEL is well-positioned to enhance India's energy security and support the vision of self-reliance in the power sector. Investors should watch closely for the project's progress, as it represents both a strategic opportunity and a reinforcement of BHEL's market leadership.
