Dalmia Bharat Limited has successfully commenced commercial production at its new Cement Grinding Unit in Lanka, Assam, with a capacity of 2.4 MTPA. This expansion increases the company’s total manufacturing capacity in Northeast India to 8 MTPA and overall capacity to 49 MTPA across India. The new unit represents part of a larger investment of Rs 3,642 Cr aimed at enhancing market presence and meeting the growing demand in the region. The integrated Clinker Unit, with a capacity of 3.6 MTPA, is nearing completion and expected to be operational by Q2 FY26. The Managing Director & CEO, Puneet Dalmia, emphasized the company’s position as the largest cement manufacturer in Northeast India and highlighted the potential for growth through infrastructure development in the area.
