CAMS Insurance Repository Services Limited has signed a significant agreement with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) to provide electronic insurance repository services. This partnership marks a pivotal development, allowing LIC’s policies to be issued in a dematerialized format through e-Insurance Accounts (eIA) opened with CAMSREP. As one of the first repositories licensed by the IRDAI, CAMSREP has facilitated digital transformation in the insurance sector for the past decade, servicing over 1 crore electronic policies. The company has launched Bima Central, an integrated platform for eIA holders to manage their insurance portfolios and access various services. This platform, available in multiple languages and on various devices, has quickly attracted 4.5 lakh active users, processing nearly 1 lakh service requests monthly. This agreement enhances CAMSREP's position in the market and is expected to drive future growth.
