Polycab India Limited — Important, 12-03-2025: General Updates

Polycab India Limited has executed an agreement with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to serve as the Project Implementation Agency for the Amended BharatNet Program. This significant agreement involves the design, supply, construction, installation, upgrade, operation, and maintenance of the middle mile network in the Bihar Telecom Circle, with a total estimated cost of ₹3002.99 crores (inclusive of GST). The project includes capital expenditure of ₹1549.66 crores and operational expenses of ₹929.79 crores for the newly constructed network, and ₹523.53 crores for the existing network. The construction phase is set to be completed within three years, followed by a maintenance contract lasting 10 years. This partnership positions Polycab for substantial revenue generation and reflects a positive outlook for future growth in the telecommunications infrastructure sector.
