This SGLT-2 inhibitor is indicated for type-2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and heart failure. The launch includes a patient-centric approach featuring an anti-counterfeit security band and comprehensive education materials available in 11 languages, enhancing treatment accessibility and safety.

The smaller tablet size aims to improve convenience for patients. With products also available as combinations with linagliptin ("Empanorm L"), sitagliptin ("Empanorm Duo" and "Alsita E"), and metformin ("Empanorm M"), Alkem is poised to expand its chronic care portfolio effectively.
