Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has made strides in advancing sustainable aviation and hydrogen mobility. In collaboration with BluJ Aerospace, ANERT, and CIAL, BPCL is launching the world's first hydrogen-powered VTOL aviation ecosystem, aiming to revolutionize urban air mobility with reduced emissions. As part of this effort, BPCL will establish hydrogen refueling infrastructure in Kochi and Trivandrum.

In a separate initiative, BPCL has partnered with KPIT Technologies to promote hydrogen fuel cell electric buses between Kochi and Trivandrum. The establishment of Hydrogen Refuelling Stations (HRS) will support pilot projects, enhancing public transport sustainability in Kerala.

Moreover, the launch of the "Emerge" cohort under the BPCL Ankur Fund focuses on boosting startups in Energy Efficiency and City Gas Distribution, emphasizing innovative solutions to optimize energy consumption. Selected enterprises can receive investment of up to ₹5 crores, furthering BPCL’s commitment to fostering a sustainable energy future.
