Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched its 5G services in Mumbai, enhancing its mobile connectivity with a competitive pricing strategy, starting from Rs. 299 for unlimited data. This rollout reflects a significant investment in next-generation infrastructure, supported by partnerships with Nokia and the integration of an AI-based Self-Organizing Networks system for optimized performance.

Vi aims to expand its 4G network coverage to about 90% of India over the next three years, with planned capital expenditures ranging between Rs. 50,000 to 55,000 Crore. In the past year, the company raised approximately Rs. 26,000 Crore, including an FPO that raised Rs. 18,000 Crore, which is set to accelerate its capex deployment.
