STEEL EXCHANGE INDIA LIMITED — Important, 19-03-2025: Capacity addition

Steel Exchange India Limited has announced a board meeting regarding a significant capacity expansion at its integrated steel plant. The Billet plant's capacity has increased by 44.8% from 2,50,000 TPA to 3,62,000 TPA, while the Rolling Bar mill's capacity rose by 58.67% from 2,25,000 TPA to 3,57,000 TPA. This expansion is expected to save approximately ₹3,000 per ton for the production of 8 mm and 10 mm sizes, which were previously processed externally. The ramp-up in capacity could enhance operational efficiency and contribute positively to the company's financial health, potentially boosting investor sentiment in the long run.
