Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has launched its first-ever perpetual bonds to raise ₹1,247 crores with an annual coupon rate of 8.40%. This significant initiative is designed to optimize IREDA’s capital structure and enhance its Tier-I capital, allowing for increased support in financing India’s green energy infrastructure. The successful issuance reflects a positive response from investors and positions the company for accelerated growth in the renewable energy sector.
Additionally, IREDA has received a tax refund of ₹24.48 crores from the Income Tax Department, related to partial relief for Assessment Year 2011-12. A further refund of approximately ₹195 crores is in processing for similar relief related to earlier assessment years.
