HCC and Tata Projects Limited (TPL) have secured a contract valued at Rs 2,470 Cr from Tata Power Company Limited for the development of the Bhivpuri Off-Stream Open-Loop Pumped Storage Project in Maharashtra. The project, which has a capacity of 1000 MW, involves comprehensive civil and hydromechanical work, including the construction of a coffer dam, intake structures, tunnels, and a new reservoir, among other essential infrastructure components.

This achievement reinforces HCC's established expertise in the hydropower sector, having previously contributed to 26% of India's installed hydropower capacity. Currently, the company is actively working on five hydroelectric projects, including the significant Tehri Pumped Storage System.
