IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals has announced a board meeting to discuss the successful commencement of a new production unit for Paracetamol, which is now operational with a capacity of 10,800 MTPA at Barnala. The company invested Rs 155.51 crore, financed through internal accruals, and the new unit benefits from in-house production of crucial intermediates.

Additionally, the installed capacity for Clopidogrel Bisulphate at Unit 5 has been enhanced from 180 MTPA to 240 MTPA, with a capital expenditure of Rs 7.87 crore, also funded through internal accruals.

These expansions reflect the company's strategy to meet rising market demand and may positivize investor sentiment, signaling growth potential in key segments.
