Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has successfully raised ₹910.37 crore through the issuance of Privately Placed Subordinated Tier-II Bonds, featuring a 10-year tenor and an annual coupon rate of 7.74%. This capital infusion is aimed at enhancing IREDA’s Tier-II capital, thereby increasing its net worth and Capital to Risk-Weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR). The added financial strength will enable IREDA to reinforce its commitment to supporting India's transition to clean energy. The Chairman and Managing Director emphasized that this successful capital raise underscores investor confidence in IREDA’s strategic vision and will facilitate efforts towards achieving the government’s target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based energy capacity by 2030.
