Velgaon Power Transmission Limited has been incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. This new entity will focus on establishing a 400/200 kV Velgaon substation in Maharashtra, following the selection process for a bidder to undertake the project, where RECPDCL has been appointed as the Bid Process Coordinator. The company has an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000, although it has yet to commence operations.
