Hindustan Zinc Limited reported record production figures for the fourth quarter and the financial year, highlighting significant operational improvements. Mined metal production hit a historic high of 1,095 kt for FY25, marking a 1% increase year-on-year, driven by enhanced mined grades and mill recovery rates. In the fourth quarter alone, mined metal production reached 310 kt, up 17% sequentially.
Saleable metal figures for FY25 show refined zinc production at 827 kt, up 1%, while refined lead production rose 4% to 225 kt. However, silver production experienced a decrease, with saleable silver at 687 metric tonnes, down 8% from the previous year due to mining sequence changes.
The company has also ramped up its wind power generation, achieving 348 million units for FY25, despite a decrease from the previous year.
