UltraTech Cement has announced a board meeting to acquire 100% equity in Wonder WallCare Private Limited for an enterprise value not exceeding Rs. 235 crores. The acquisition includes 6,42,40,000 shares and will transition Wonder WallCare into a wholly-owned subsidiary. This strategic move aims to bolster UltraTech's capacity in the wall putty segment by leveraging Wonder WallCare's modern 6 lakh MT per annum manufacturing plant in Rajasthan, positioned near high-quality raw materials. The acquisition is designed to enhance production capabilities in a competitive market, supporting growth amid rising urbanization and real estate demand in India.
