Metropolis Healthcare has acquired Dr. Ahujas’ Pathology and Imaging Centre (DAPIC), a leading diagnostic chain in Dehradun, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Metropolis Histoxpert Digital Services Private Limited. This acquisition, valued at INR 35.01 crore, aims to enhance Metropolis’ growing network in North India, expanding its presence in a rapidly developing diagnostic market valued at INR 500 crore. DAPIC, known for its high standards in pathology and radiology services, reported an estimated annual revenue of INR 11.5 crore for FY 2024-25. The integration of DAPIC will increase Metropolis’ North India revenue contribution from 8% to an estimated 14–15%. This strategic move reinforces Metropolis' ‘String of Pearls’ strategy, which targets building a diverse diagnostic network across the region. The ongoing association of Dr. Alok Ahuja and Dr. Alka Ahuja post-acquisition is expected to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining service quality. With this acquisition, investors can anticipate enhanced growth opportunities within this high-potential market.
