The Repo Based Lending Rate (RBLR) has been revised effective from 09.04.2025. The Reserve Bank of India has lowered the repo rate from 6.25% to 6.00%, leading to a decrease of 25 basis points in the RBLR. The updated RBLR components are as follows: the repo rate now stands at 6.00%, while the markup remains unchanged at 2.85%, resulting in a new effective RBLR of 8.85%. This adjustment could positively influence borrowing costs and improve lending rates, potentially enhancing the bank's competitiveness in the market. Stakeholders should watch this development closely, as it may provide a favorable environment for loan growth.
