GAIL (India) Limited — Updates, 10-04-2025: Press Release

GAIL (India) Limited has completed over 97.6% of the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga pipeline project, with 96.6% already operational. The integrated Jagdishpur–Haldia–Bokaro–Dhamra Pipeline (JHBDPL) spans 3,306 km, with 3,227 km laid and 3,119 km in commercial operation. Currently, it's transporting 12.26 Million Standard Cubic Meter per Day (MMSCMD) of natural gas to multiple clients, including four fertilizer plants and several city gas distribution networks.

Despite progress, the completion of sections for Durgapur–Haldia and Dhamra–Haldia is delayed from March 2025 to December 2025 due to issues with Right of Use (RoU). Once finalized, this expansion will enhance natural gas delivery to key areas, reinforcing GAIL's operational efficiency and market presence.
