Sundaram Finance Holdings Limited has announced a board meeting to approve the acquisition of 61,58,208 equity shares in Axles India Limited, representing a 24.16% stake for a total consideration of ₹182.68 Cr. This move aims to strengthen their foothold in the heavy commercial vehicle market and will increase SFHL's stake in Axles India to 62.98%, making it a subsidiary. Axles India reported a total revenue of ₹855.10 Cr for the last fiscal year, and the acquisition is set to enhance operational efficiencies and market positioning. Completion is expected by April 2025.
