The Board of Directors of Swaraj Engines Limited has approved a plan to expand engine production capacity from 195,000 units to 240,000 units per annum, driven by anticipated future demand. The expansion will involve an investment of ₹220 Crores, funded through internal cash generation and surplus funds. The addition of 45,000 units is expected to be completed over the next 24 to 27 months. The initiative includes establishing a new advanced technology assembly line at the existing facility, which aligns with the specifications required by key customers.
