APSEZ has acquired the North Queensland Export Terminal (NQXT) in Australia, expanding its capacity by 50 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). This strategic move aligns with APSEZ's goal to reach a throughput of 1 billion tonnes annually by 2030. NQXT, located in a key trade corridor, is positioned for substantial growth, with the ability to increase capacity to 120 MTPA to meet global demand, including potential green hydrogen exports. The acquisition is expected to enhance APSEZ's EBITDA by A$ 400 million over four years, benefiting from a high EBITDA margin of over 90%. The terminal’s existing operational effectiveness is reinforced by contracts with significant customers and a strong ESG track record. This acquisition supports APSEZ’s broader global expansion strategy while ensuring operational stability and growth in the logistics sector. Investors should view this as a significant opportunity for positive growth in the company’s international portfolio.
