Coal India Limited — Important, 21-04-2025: Memorandum of Understanding/Agreements

Coal India Limited (CIL) has announced a board meeting on the execution of a Non-Binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) to set up 2×800 MW Ultra Supercritical units as part of the Brownfield expansion of the Chandrapura Thermal Power Station in Jharkhand. The MoU aims to explore opportunities for jointly developing Thermal and Renewable Energy Projects to cater to the increasing power demand in the DVC valley region.
