The Sugar Season 2024-25 has concluded for Balrampur Chini Mills, with crushing operations wrapping up on 20th April 2025 across all ten units. The total sugarcane crushed for the season was 99.16 lac MT, slightly down from 100.91 lac MT in 2023-24. Notably, the company diverted 10.7% of sugarcane toward syrup ethanol production, up from 3.7% last season, while the diversion to B-heavy and C-heavy route molasses decreased to 51.4% and 37.9%, respectively.

The net sugar recovery for cane crushed under the B-heavy route stood at 9.93%, while the C-heavy route reported 11.11%. Total net sugar production for the season reached 9.24 lac MT. The shift towards ethanol production indicates a strategic pivot potentially enhancing revenue streams. Overall, these operational metrics suggest challenges in cane yield but offer insights into the adaptation of production strategies to align with market trends. Investors should maintain a watch on how these changes influence future performance.
