NTPC Green Energy Limited — Updates, 25-04-2025: Press Release

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been established between NTPC Green Energy Limited and Honeywell UOP India Pvt Ltd to explore the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This collaboration will conduct a feasibility study that utilizes Honeywell's proprietary eFining™ technology alongside captured carbon dioxide emissions from NTPC’s power plants. The MoU is integral to NTPC Green's Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh, spanning around 1,200 acres, aimed at integrating green chemicals and sustainable manufacturing.

This partnership aligns with NTPC’s strategic goals of decarbonizing the aviation sector and advancing its renewable energy portfolio, targeting 60 GW by 2032. The collaboration signifies growth opportunities for NTPC in the renewable space and enhances its commitment to sustainable energy development and India’s transition to green energy.
