The Board of Directors has approved the purchase of a 3-acre land parcel in Guwahati, Assam, from Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL) for ₹30 Crores. This strategic location will facilitate the construction of a 400+ bedded super specialty hospital, with a projected investment of ₹510 Crores, to be completed over the next 3-4 years, pending necessary approvals.

The new facility aims to enhance healthcare infrastructure in the North East region, serving over 50 million people in Assam and neighboring states. Medanta plans to provide advanced medical care across 20+ specialties, bringing expertise in transplants and robotic procedures, positioning itself for significant growth and impact in the region. The expansion is funded through internal accruals, reflecting a positive outlook for the company as it seeks to address unmet healthcare needs.
