EPL Limited has acquired a 99% stake in EPL Packaging (Thailand) for 19.8 lakh Thai Baht (~Rs. 4.9 million), marking its entry into the laminated tubes market in Thailand. This strategic move expands EPL’s footprint in Southeast Asia, aiming to capture growth in packaging solutions. Since EPTL is a newly incorporated entity yet to start operations, the acquisition won’t have an immediate revenue impact but sets the stage for future regional growth. EPL’s subsidiary plans to acquire the remaining 1% stake soon to gain full ownership.
