JSW Energy Limited — Important, 01-05-2025: Updates

JSW Neo Energy has signed a 40-year agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation for a 1,500 MW / 12,000 MWh Pumped Hydro Storage project in Sonbhadra. The facility will provide up to 8 hours of daily discharge and earn a fixed capacity charge of ₹77.2 lakhs per MW annually. This deal increases JSW’s locked-in energy storage to 28.3 GWh, aiding its goal of 40 GWh by 2030 and boosting its renewable energy storage capacity. The project is slated for commissioning within six years.
