1. Financial Highlights:

Indian Bank’s total business grew 8.5% YoY to ₹13.25 lakh Cr. Deposits rose 7% to ₹7.37 lakh Cr and advances increased 10% to ₹5.88 lakh Cr, driving a credit-deposit ratio near 80%. Net interest income rose 8.2% to ₹25,176 Cr with a stable domestic net interest margin around 3.5%. Operating profit increased 12.8% to ₹18,998 Cr, while net profit surged 35.4% to ₹10,918 Cr. Cost-to-income ratio improved to 44.77%. Asset quality remains strong with gross NPA at 3.09% and net NPA at 0.19%, supported by a 98.10% provision coverage ratio. Capital adequacy ratio stood healthy at 17.94%.

2. Strategic Initiatives & Growth Drivers:

The bank is accelerating digital growth with digital business volumes doubling to ₹1.67 lakh Cr and 133% YoY growth in digital accounts (~1.2 Cr). There’s multi-fold expansion in digital MSME, vehicle, jewel, and agri loans. Capex focuses on IT infrastructure, digital journeys, and cybersecurity. Priority sector advances make up 44% of adjusted net bank credit (ANBC), supported by strong financial inclusion efforts and rural outreach.

3. Business Developments:

Subsidiaries and JVs showed profitability growth, with a stock broking JV generating ₹2.82 Cr income. The bank invested ₹272 Cr in NARCL equity and added 64 new branches alongside processing center expansions. Enhanced fintech partnerships and API banking integrations bolster customer service and transaction efficiency.

Indian Bank benefits from a 74% government stake and leadership in priority sector lending.
