AVG Logistics has announced a board meeting to discuss the financial results for the quarter and half-year.

The company secured a 6-year contract from Indian Railways to operate a leased Parcel Cargo Express Train connecting Agartala/Guwahati to Delhi/Ludhiana, running 4 trips monthly (313 trips total). Initial cargo per trip is 364 tonnes, increasing to 484 tonnes later, covering 2768 km in 90 hours. Valued at ~Rs. 198 Cr over 6 years (~Rs. 33 Cr per year), this deal is set to improve operational efficiency and revenue visibility, especially from sectors like FMCG, electronics, tea, bamboo, and plastic granules.

Impact: The contract strengthens AVG’s position in rail logistics, reduces geographic and seasonal risks in the northeast, and supports long-term growth through steady institutional partnerships.

Response: AVG aims to enhance service reliability, expand its eco-friendly logistics offerings, and use this deal as a base to drive future expansions and sustained financial growth.
