Coal India Limited — Important, 07-05-2025: General Updates

Coal India has announced a board meeting on the financial results for the quarter and half-year. It commissioned a 50 MW solar power plant and launched the Ib Valley Coal Washery. A new coal-to-SNG subsidiary, Coal Gas India Ltd, was incorporated with CIL holding 51%. FY24-25 coal production rose 1% to 781 million tonnes, with a 1% rise in offtake, though Q4 production dipped 2%. Consolidated net sales fell 3%, PBT declined 4%, and PAT dropped 6%, impacted by lower volumes, realizations, higher depreciation, and contractual costs.
