Coal India Limited has announced a board meeting to approve the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The company launched Coal Gas India Limited, a joint venture with GAIL for coal-to-chemical production via a Coal-to-SNG plant. Dugda Coal Washery monetized operations first in India, while Ib Valley Coal Washery generated ₹314 crore revenue. CIL added a 50 MW solar plant, expanding renewables, and secured the Khattali Chotti graphite block, entering critical minerals. FY24-25 saw 1% coal production growth, stable revenue around ₹1.43 lakh crore, and improved profitability despite a slight revenue dip.
