1. Financial Highlights:

Paradeep Phosphates posted consolidated revenue of ₹1,393 Cr in FY25, up 19.6% YoY. EBITDA jumped 91% to ₹137 Cr with margins improving to 9.8%. PAT rose sharply by 452% to ₹55.2 Cr, fueled by volume growth and operational efficiencies. Q4 revenue surged 56% to ₹353.6 Cr, with EBITDA and PAT doubling YoY. Fertilizer sales volume increased 20% to 3.03 million tonnes. Net debt-to-equity improved to 0.78x, free cash flow conversion stood at 74% of EBITDA, and working capital cycle shortened by 24 days.

2. Strategic Initiatives & Growth Drivers:

Expansion plans include a merger expected to raise volumes by 23% to 3.7 million tonnes and strengthen southern market presence. Backward integration is underway, with sulphuric acid capacity increasing from 1.4 to 1.9 MMTPA by Q3 FY26, and phosphoric acid capacity set to rise from 0.5 to 0.7 MMTPA over two years. New products such as TSP, nano-DAP, nano-urea, and differentiated NPK formulations target low-carbon and soil-specific needs.

3. Business Developments:

The company delivered timely capex execution on acid capacity expansions. Sales execution improved through better point-of-sale conversions and collections. Supplier partnerships and captive logistics via Paradeep port pipelines helped mitigate raw material cost volatility. The merger with MCFL is progressing, having secured regulatory approval and ongoing tribunal hearings.

4. Market Position & Competitive Advantage:

As India’s second-largest private phosphatic fertilizer producer with 3 MMTPA capacity, Paradeep Phosphates boasts a broad product portfolio and pan-India reach over 95,000 retailers in 15 states. Strong brand presence with ‘Jai Kisaan’ and ‘Navratna’, plus backward integration and captive port logistics, provide cost and supply chain advantages. The company ranks among the top 2% globally in chemical sector ESG performance.

5. Investor Implications:

Robust volume growth, margin gains, and improved leverage support sustained value creation. Scale-up through merger and backward integration should enhance competitiveness and margin resilience. Product innovations align with evolving farmer demands, aiding market share. Positive growth potential is evident, though monitoring execution risk on capacity expansions and merger integration remains important.
