Coal India has announced a board meeting on the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The company signed a key MoU with AM Green Ammonia to supply 4,500 MW of renewable energy—solar (2,500-3,000 MW) and wind (1,500-2,000 MW)—for green ammonia production. The project involves a capex of around Rs 25,000 Cr, targeting wind sites in southern states and solar in Gujarat and Rajasthan. This move supports CIL’s diversification into clean energy alongside its core coal business.
