Tata Motors has announced a board meeting. The merger of Tata Motors Finance (TMFL) with Tata Capital (TCL) is complete, with TMFL ceasing as a subsidiary. Post-merger, Tata Motors holds a 4.7% stake in TCL, which has a strong NBFC portfolio with AUM of ~INR 1.6L Cr. TMFL’s vehicle financing AUM of ~INR 32.5K Cr boosts TCL’s CV/PV lending presence. The move supports Tata Motors’ focus on core and emerging tech businesses. TCL reported PAT of INR 3,150 Cr and TMFL PAT of INR 52 Cr in FY24.
