Nazara Technologies Limited — Important, 08-05-2025: Updates

Nazara Technologies has announced a board meeting which approved a Rs. 126 Cr resolution plan to acquire Smaaash Entertainment, currently in insolvency. The plan involves paying 29.5% to financial creditors and minimal payouts to operational creditors, backed by Nazara’s strong cash and mutual fund reserves. Post-acquisition, Nazara will transfer its subsidiary equity to a trust for creditors and take over management. The plan also addresses past fraudulent transactions by former directors and will be overseen by a monitoring committee.
