Biocon has announced a board meeting to approve the financial results for the quarter and half-year. Q4FY25 revenue climbed 15% to Rs 4,454 Cr, with EBITDA up 16% to Rs 1,115 Cr. Net profit surged 153% to Rs 344 Cr, driven by strong growth in generics and biosimilars. FY25 revenue grew 5% to Rs 16,470 Cr, with EBITDA rising 5% to Rs 4,374 Cr; net profit was stable at Rs 1,013 Cr but increased 30% on a like-for-like basis. Generics soared 46% on US launches, while Biocon Biologics grew 9%, supported by new biosimilars and market share gains. Syngene’s revenue rose 11%, aided by a US biologics manufacturing acquisition. The board approved a Rs 4,500 Cr capital raise to reduce debt and fuel growth. A potential merger between Biocon Biologics and Biocon Limited is being explored. Peter Bains stepped down as Group CEO, continuing as Syngene CEO.
