Canara Bank — Board Meeting, 09-05-2025: Outcome of Board Meeting

Canara Bank has announced a board meeting on the approval of the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The bank posted a strong consolidated net profit of ₹17,540 Cr, up from ₹15,279 Cr, with total income rising 9.7% to ₹1,52,658 Cr. Net interest income benefited from higher advances and stable margins. Asset quality improved sharply with gross NPA down to 2.94% and net NPA at 0.70%. The capital adequacy ratio remains robust at 16.39%. A dividend of ₹4 per share (200%) has been proposed. The bank also raised ₹4,000 Cr through Basel III Tier II bonds.
