Himadri Speciality Chemical Limited — Board Meeting, 13-05-2025: Outcome of Board Meeting

Himadri has announced a board meeting approving an additional ₹81.48 Cr investment in Australian battery materials firm Sicona Battery Technologies through compulsorily convertible notes over 18 months. The company also secured exclusive rights to manufacture Sicona’s advanced Silicon-Carbon (SiCx®) anode materials in India, which deliver ~20% higher energy density and ~40% faster charging. This strategic move strengthens Himadri’s foothold in the clean energy and EV battery space, aligning it with the rapidly expanding electric mobility market in India.
