BASF India Limited — JV/Acquisition, 14-05-2025: Demerger

BASF India is spinning off its Agricultural Solutions segment—including crop protection chemicals, seeds, traits, and digital agri-solutions—into a separately listed company, BASF Agricultural Solutions India Ltd. This business contributed Rs. 2064.7 Cr in FY25 (~13.6% of total turnover). The demerger aims to create more focused and agile operations with independent management, enhancing capital allocation and market execution. BASF India shareholders will get shares in the new entity on a 1:1 basis, unlocking value while allowing both companies to better compete. The new firm will list on BSE and NSE.
