Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited has announced a board meeting to approve its merger with Paradeep Phosphates Limited, aiming to create a leading private-sector fertilizer firm. The merger targets operational synergies, cost savings, and expanded market reach. MCF shareholders will receive 187 PPL shares for every 100 held. PPL plans to expand capacity to 0.7 MMTPA with a ₹250 Cr investment to boost backward integration and cut import reliance. The merger involves asset and liability transfers and will dissolve MCF post-transaction.
