1. Financial Highlights:

South Indian Bank reported total income of Rs. 5,299 Cr in FY25, up 9% YoY, led by a 5% rise in net interest income to Rs. 3,486 Cr and a 20% jump in non-interest income to Rs. 1,813 Cr. Profit after tax increased 22% to Rs. 1,303 Cr. Net interest margin eased slightly to 3.21% from 3.38%. Operating expenses grew 2%, supporting a 22% rise in operating profit to Rs. 2,270 Cr. Asset quality improved with GNPA at 3.20% and NNPA at 0.92%, backed by an 85% provision coverage ratio. Deposits grew 6% to Rs. 1,07,526 Cr and advances rose 10% to Rs. 87,579 Cr. CASA ratio remained healthy at 31.37%. Return on assets and equity improved to 1.11% and 13.74%, while capital adequacy stayed robust at 19.31%.

The bank is accelerating digital transformation through initiatives like debit card EMIs, digital loan approvals, and insurance offerings. Focus persists on expanding retail and MSME portfolios via faster sanctioning and tech-enabled renewals. Emphasis on non-branch distribution, fintech tie-ups, and co-lending aims to broaden the customer base and improve cost efficiency. Branch productivity and cost control are priorities, demonstrated by a 431 bps improvement in cost-to-income ratio to 52.6%.

Strengthening MSME lending with sector-specific products, incentives, and revamped offerings. New partnerships include CapFloat for online retail financing and multiple co-lending collaborations. The bank expanded beyond Kerala, growing loans and deposits in other regions. Credit processes for MSME, agriculture, affordable housing, and vehicle loans have been simplified and automated, boosting turnaround times.

A well-diversified loan book with nearly 60% outside corporates, featuring a dominant 99.7% share of A-rated large corporate loans.
