Birla Corporation has announced a board meeting on 31st May to consider the financial results for the quarter and half-year.

Birla Corp delivered a strong quarter with volumes at 22.5 million tons and Mukutban plant producing 7.5 lakh tons. EBITDA/ton crossed ₹1,000, helped by a 7% QoQ price rise in key regions and volume gains in the West. Annual incentives totaled ₹103 Cr. FY25 CAPEX was ₹437 Cr; FY26 CAPEX guided around ₹1,100 Cr aiming to expand capacity to 27.6 million tons by FY29.

Management highlighted operational efficiency and capacity utilization despite disruptions. The jute business is a strategic focus, targeting value-added products and exports. Coal mining captive capacity will begin scaling in FY26, with fuel costs monitored. Debt/EBITDA is expected below 2x through FY26. Green power share to rise from 25% to ~36-37% in two years to reduce power costs. Pricing varies regionally; growth outlook is steady with expansion progress under watch. Retail investors should track Mukutban volume and grinding unit developments.
