Revenue Performance: Consolidated revenue hit ₹9,692 Cr in Q4FY25, up 18% YoY, led by strong growth in Edible Oils and FMCG segments. Full-year revenue rose sharply to ₹34,157 Cr, boosted by the Home & Personal Care (HPC) business acquired in November 2024. FMCG (including HPC) accounted for over 30% of Q4 revenue.

Profitability and EPS: Net profit surged 74% YoY to ₹359 Cr in the quarter, with PAT margin improving to 3.68%. Full-year PAT was ₹1,301 Cr with an EPS of ₹35.94. Gross margin expanded to 17%, supported by better pricing and product mix, particularly in edible oils and FMCG. HPC posted a healthy EBITDA margin of 15.74%, contributing ₹115 Cr EBITDA in its first full quarter.

Operational Costs: Raw material expenses remained a large cost (₹6,122 Cr in Q4), but inflationary challenges were managed well. Advertising and sales promotion expenses stayed significant at 3.36% of revenue, reflecting continued brand-building investments. Employee and other costs rose moderately post-acquisition.

Key Metrics: Quarterly EBITDA rose 14.5% YoY to ₹569 Cr, with margins near 5.9%. Edible Oils segment crossed ₹1,000 Cr EBITDA for FY25. HPC contributed ₹172 Cr EBITDA for the full year. Export revenues increased to ₹73 Cr in Q4, with presence in 29 countries.

Balance Sheet / Cash Flow Health: Total assets stand at ₹1,552 Cr with equity of ₹1,137 Cr. Net debt declined to ₹781 Cr. Capex of ₹93.5 Cr went towards the non-food acquisition and expansion in plantations and manufacturing. Operating cash flow remains healthy at ₹197 Cr.

Management Outlook: The company expects gradual demand recovery, aided by favorable monsoons and government support. Focus remains on scaling FMCG and HPC through innovation, distribution expansion (targeting 100,000 villages), and urban premiumization. Backward integration via oil palm plantations is underway with new MoUs signed. Brand-building and rural channel growth continue to be priorities.

Final Takeaway: Patanjali Foods delivered strong growth and better profitability in FY25, with successful HPC integration enhancing margins and diversification. While cost pressures persist, improving earnings and solid cash flows suggest positive momentum heading into FY26. Retail investors can view this as a steady growth and expansion story.
