Neogen Chemicals has announced a board meeting on finalizing the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The company posted a net profit of Rs. 48.41 Cr for the year, up from Rs. 41.13 Cr, despite a Rs. 13.56 Cr exceptional loss from a fire at its Dahej plant, for which insurance claims are underway. Revenue reached Rs. 773.65 Cr. Its subsidiary, Neogen Ionics, plans a new lithium-ion battery materials venture and is negotiating a joint venture with Japan’s Morita Chemicals. A final dividend of Re. 1 per share is proposed.
