Premier Energies Limited is forming a JV with Taiwan’s Sino-American Silicon Products Inc (SAS) to produce and sell solar silicon wafers in India. Premier holds 74% equity, SAS 26%. The JV, Premier Energies GWC Private Limited, will leverage Premier’s manufacturing scale and SAS’s semiconductor expertise to target global markets, establishing a cutting-edge production facility in India. The board includes four directors—three from Premier and one from SAS—positioning the JV for strong growth in the solar supply chain.
