Orient Cement Limited — Important, 20-05-2025: General Updates

Ambuja Cements has announced a board meeting to consider the financial results for the quarter and half-year. It completed an open offer acquiring 26% in Orient Cement at ₹395.40/share, spending ₹2,112.21 Cr, adding to the 46.8% stake already bought for ₹3,790.82 Cr. Ambuja now holds 72.66% in Orient, expanding its cement capacity by 8.5 MTPA across South and West India, with 8.1 MTPA ready to execute. The acquisition was funded through internal accruals, supported by ₹2,121.5 Cr in escrow.
