Himadri Speciality Chemical has invested USD 4.43 Mn (~₹37.5 Cr) to acquire a 16.24% stake in US-based Li-ion innovator International Battery Company (IBC). This partnership will help Himadri commercialize its LFP cathode and anode materials through IBC’s South Korea plants and upcoming Bengaluru Gigafactory, targeting EV and energy storage sectors. Access to IBC’s global clients and AI-driven R&D enhances Himadri’s position in the advanced battery materials supply chain, supporting India’s emergence as a key battery manufacturing and export hub.
